Dans la recherche concernant l’anglais de spécialité, l’approche diachronique de textes littéraires comportant des marques de spécialisation reste rare. Cette étude a pour objectif d’observer l’empan littéraire du XVIIIe siècle en Grande-Bretagne et d’y extraire une œuvre, celle de Tobias Smollett, qui était médecin avant de devenir un romancier très populaire. The objective of this research in English for Specific Purposes is to measure the impact of the use of television series on the teaching/learning of communication for medical consultation. It is largely rooted in the field of teaching and learning as existing theories and methodologies are studied with the aim of creating an innovative programme to teach medical students how to communicate during a consultation.
